I had purchased 3 urns for $289.00… It was nothing like the actual picture… The picture looks like the the tops are bronzed like almost faxed and smooth… Just beautiful was real excited to get them in…What I got was 3 pieces of ceramic that looks as if someone took them in the back alley and spray painted them and forgot to dust them off. I had to put them on top of my kitchen cabinets up far so you could not see all the imperfections and just the poor quality…I was very disappointed… Well one day I had went to the furniture show where they sell wholesale and I actually went into a show room that sells the same exact stuff and found out that’s where they order alot of there stuff and all of it was junk… I was amazed this company stays in business. I give them an A plus on the website because everything looks so beautiful but they obviously photo shop those pictures… On top of that the whole sale price was 90 dollars and they sell it for 289.00 that is such a ripoff…

Anyways be careful what you buy because honestly the quality is very poor…

THIS FRAUDULENT AND LIBELOUS ACTION IS EXTORTION PURE AND SIMPLE.

I have looked at both Rip Off Report and Complaints Board HTML code. There is no reason that the web site HTML Meta Tags and lack of supporting text would propel these two sites to the top 10 Google search results within hours or even at all. My company has received repeated emails and phone calls that have attempted to extort payment for complaint removal services.

MY QUESTIONS:
1. Does Google give ranking preference to these extortionists?
2. Does Google have a special relationship with these complaint web sites?
3. Google has the ability to remove these web sites from their search results. Why has Google not done so?
4. Is there a Google contact email address?

All replies would be greatly appreciated as it is impossible to find Google contact information anywhere on the Google site. It is impossible to report abuse to Google if Google doesn’t provide Google contact information for these serious matters.

Report Criticizes Yahoo over Prescription-Drug Ads

NEW YORK (CNN) — One of the largest Internet search engines is being accused of violating both federal and state laws by accepting advertising from online pharmacies it should have known were selling drugs without valid prescriptions.

Two small research firms, Legitscript.com and KnujOn.com, say that during a three-month period in the spring and early summer of 2009, Yahoo routinely accepted ads from dozens of online pharmacies that dispensed drugs without a valid prescription.

The allegation is included in a new report by the two firms, which said their researchers used “blind” buys — purchases made without disclosing their identities — to obtain a wide range of prescription drugs from nearly a dozen online pharmacy sites that advertised on Yahoo. The researchers, the companies said, often had real-time interaction with online pharmacy employees.

“If search engines continue to knowingly facilitate illegal prescription drug sales, then we will continue to issue these reports,” said Garth Bruen, president of KnujOn.com.

The two companies earlier accused the new Microsoft search engine Bing of similar practices. Bing said it had followed all “acceptable” practices and would increase security on its search engine.

Researchers from the two companies say they were able to buy drugs such as Ambien, Tramadol and Soma — along with a range of others — merely by filling out an online form. They received the drugs within a day or two, the companies reported.

Both Yahoo and the other major Internet search engine, Google, use a firm called PharmacyChecker.com to verify that drugs are dispensed legally. But this week’s report said even with that protection, drugs were purchased with ease.

Google has not been mentioned by the two firms as a search engine that accepts ads from rogue pharmacies.

But John Horton, president of Legitscript.com, said more than 80 percent of Yahoo’s Internet pharmacy ads “were operating contrary to federal and state laws.”

In one instance, a researcher from the firm asked a representative from “Pharmacybuycheap.com” whether he needed a doctor’s prescription for Tramadol, a powerful muscle relaxant which has been known to be addictive.

“No, you do not need a prescription from a doctor,” came the reply, according to the report.

CNN attempted to reach a representative of “Pharmacybuycheap.com,” but the company did not return requests for comment by phone or e-mail.

In an e-mail to CNN, a spokesperson for Yahoo said the company has “strict guidelines and policies in place” for all search advertising and, “All known violators are removed from the Yahoo network.”

“In addition, we have implemented a number of protective measures to protect the marketplace, including a more robust manual review process,” the statement said. Online pharmacies wishing to advertise on Yahoo must undergo a “rigorous” review by PharmacyChecker, and companies that do not pass that review “may not participate in Yahoo’s search marketing program.”

“As this report illustrates, the online pharmacy marketplace is challenging to police,” Yahoo said. “However, we take swift action when we become aware of violators and we have a number of safeguards in place to protect our advertisers and users.”

In 2008, CNN aired several stories documenting rogue online pharmacies that dispensed prescription drugs without a valid doctor’s authorization. CNN was able to order the powerful anti-depressant Prozac by simply filing in a form and pressing a button, and the drugs arrived via express mail the next day.

Kansas authorities are prosecuting a rural pharmacy that sent the muscle relaxant Soma to a Wichita man who eventually committed suicide by ingesting dozens of Soma pills. The drugs came from the pharmacy via an online site.

Mark and JoLane Poindexter face felony counts of computer crime, conspiracy to commit computer crime and commercial bribery, along with misdemeanor violations of Kansas pharmacy laws. The state closed their drugstore in Lyons, northwest of Wichita, in March 2008.

Rick Cloxin, their former chief pharmacist, has pleaded no contest to 14 misdemeanor counts and is awaiting sentencing.

Consumers have lots of choices for buying prescription drugs these days. But beware – counterfeit drugs are on the rise. You might throw your money away on ineffective drugs, or even worse, you could be harmed by taking drugs that aren’t what they pretend to be.

Don’t buy from an online seller that doesn’t require a prescription. It’s against the law to sell prescription drugs to people who don’t have prescriptions for them. Reputable online drug sellers verify each prescription they receive before filling the order. Always talk to your doctor before taking any prescription drugs.

If you don’t already have a prescription, don’t deal with a Web site that will provide one based on an online questionnaire, without an in-person physical exam.

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American Medical Association, if you get a prescription without a physical exam, you could receive a drug that is inappropriate, or even dangerous because of a condition that you might not realize you have. Your doctor will also have a record of any other drugs you are taking and can make sure any new drug you take will not dangerously interact with the drugs you are already taking.

Don’t buy from a site that advertises “miracle drugs” for a new cure for a serious disease. These drugs are not usually approved by the FDA and could be dangerous or not effective. Other danger signs include claims for a “new cure” for a serious disease, or use of impressive sounding terminology to disguise a lack of good science.

Make sure a licensed pharmacist is available to answer your questions. Whether you’re buying prescription drugs online, through the mail, by telephone, or in person, reputable sellers should have pharmacists available to answer questions.

Beware of online pharmacies that don’t list an address or toll-free phone number to contact in case of a problem. They may be deliberately attempting to make it harder to track them down.

Avoid Web sites that only sell a limited number of medications, especially “lifestyle” medications that treat obesity, impotence, herpes, pain and acne. Such Websites are designed to attract consumers who have privacy concerns and wish to avoid an in-person doctor’s visit. The Websites are more likely to sell prescription drugs without legitimate prescriptions.

When you buy medications online, make sure the seller is properly licensed. Check with your state board of pharmacy or the National Association of Boards Pharmacy at http://www.nabp.net (click on “Who We Are” on the left and then “Boards of Pharmacy” for a list of state boards) or call 847-698-6227. These sources can tell you if the online seller is licensed. You should check the state board of pharmacy where the online seller is located, and your own state board of pharmacy. Some sites display a seal, such as the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy’s VIPPS seal, as proof that the site has met state and federal requirements. Dealing with pharmacies that display the VIPPS seal, or other similar certification seals, gives you more confidence that they and the products they sell are legitimate. If you suspect you have bought a counterfeit drug online, report it. Notify the online drug seller. You should also report your suspicions about counterfeit drugs bought online to the FDA. In addition, ask your doctor for medical advice if you believe you have taken a counterfeit drug.

If you believe an online drug seller is selling prescription drugs without a license, without prescriptions, or in violation of other laws, report it. Use the FDA’s online form at http://www.fda.gov/oc/buyonline/buyonlineform.htm or call the FDA’s Medwatch program at 1-800-332-1088.
